Get Ready in Customer Service with Great Western

Introduction:

A 1-week, immersive customer service work experience programme taking place at Bristol Temple Meads. The goal is to support their understanding of customer service in GWR; how they operate and support the customers to be a great experience maker. Lunch is provided and travel will be reimbursed throughout the course.

What will I be doing?

During the week they will:
• Experience working at stations and on-board trains with GWR
• Gain an Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification
• Develop their customer service skills
• Build the knowledge required to consider customer service roles with GWR
DATES FOR YOUR DIARY:
• Taster day: 19 November 2025
• Course dates: 24 - 28 November 2025
• Express interest by: 4 November 2025
• Location: Bristol
Please note that like all our employability programmes, final decisions on who will be attending the programme will be made following the information session & taster day. We are looking for young people who are work ready and keen to work in customer facing roles. We are hoping roles will become available with GWR following the programme, but please make clear that we cannot guarantee this.
