This course is for people with a good understanding of basic IT (can already send emails with attachments, write a word doc and save attachments etc) but who would like to improve their IT for work, improve their current IT skills or personal development.

What will I be doing?

Learning outcomes include:
• Explore Word features including page layout, margins, copy & paste, insert pictures
• Use Word to create a useful document e.g., poster, menu
• Explore Excel features including cells, data, formula, functions, and graphs
• Use Excel to create a useful spreadsheet e.g., household budget
• Use PowerPoint to create a presentation that includes text and pictures
• Identify strategies to stay safe online

Who is this opportunity suitable for?

This course is open to learners with few or no qualifications aged 19 years plus (in August ’25) who are progressing from a previous course or confident with basic IT
