About the organisation

Who we are

Step Together Volunteering supports people who face significant barriers to participation in society, through intensive one-to-one support combined with community volunteering. We support young people, people who are at risk of entering the criminal justice system, and the Armed Forces community. Many of the people we work alongside have experienced multiple challenges - including involvement with the care and criminal justice systems, poor mental health, social isolation, unemployment, or disrupted education. These experiences can make it difficult to build confidence, trust others, or see a positive future. Through personalised support and meaningful volunteering opportunities, we help people rebuild confidence, develop skills and take steps towards education, employment and a more stable future.
