Introduction:
This course is for anyone over 19 years who wants to learn how to prepare food safely at home or work. Learners will be supported to take their online level 2 certificate. The course will take at Redcliffe Community Hub Waring House, Redcliffe, Bristol on Thursday 21st November and Friday 22nd November 2024.

What will I be doing?
Learning outcomes include: List and describe at least 3 common terms used in food safety State 4 key temperatures used to keep food safe and explain how to take product and equipment temperatures accurately Assess the importance for high standards of both structure and equipment to promote good hygiene in food premises Recognise the ideal conditions for the multiplication of bacteria Recognise 2 laws that apply to food businesses and food handlers Identify at least 3 different types of food hazard Define cross contamination and list 3 ways to prevent it Complete the assessment successfully and gain a qualification
