Spotlight on… Sixteen Cooperative
March 31, 2023
WE Work is pleased to work in close partnership with an award winning specialist job coaching organisation.
As a project, WE Work engages a wide range of participants some of whom need specialist support to get into paid work. We work alongside a number of different partners who are experts in their fields of employment support. One such partner is a small yet dynamic Bristol based cooperative business called Sixteen.
Sixteen has been supporting people with a learning difficulty, learning disability and/or autistic people into paid work for over a decade now.
They are a specialist supported employment agency and follow good practice supported employment processes, which are by their nature person centred and tailored.
Sixteen typically follows the 5-step supported employment process:
- jobseeker engagement
- vocational profiling
- job/enterprise search
- employer and community engagement
- in-work support
Sixteen helps employers and jobseekers navigate the recruitment process, providing support and practical guidance along the way.
Since 2021, the partnership between WE Work and Sixteen has supported a wide range of WE Work participants into paid employment and ensures continued support for young people finishing their supported internship.
