A Bright Future for Cameron
June 2, 2026
Cameron’s path into paid work has been full of determination, growth, and confidence.
Before joining WE Work for Everyone, Cameron attended college. He had 1:1 support and completed unpaid work placements in cafés in Bath. He enjoyed this and wanted a paid job. However, he knew he would need support. Cameron has epilepsy, experiences seizures, and has learning difficulties. This made finding the right job more challenging. He was motivated but needed guidance.
When Cameron joined programme, he met his Navigator and together, they connected with Step and Stone. Step and Stone provide work experience and support in their bakery. They help people with learning differences move closer to employment. At first, Cameron felt shy in a new environment. Over time, he gained skills, became more confident, and learned to work as part of a team.
A Job at Nisbets
Cameron secured a 12‑week internship at Nisbets with support from a job coach. During this time, he learnt new skills and made friends. The team supported him and valued his progress. He was offered paid employment. Staff also completed epilepsy training to help him feel safe and included.
This experience showed Cameron what he can achieve. He can now work more independently. This has been exciting and empowering. He has grown in confidence and is ready for future challenges.
Future Plans
Cameron now plans to write a book about his journey. He hopes to inspire others to “dream their dreams” and believe in themselves. He says WE Work for Everyone has made a life‑changing difference.
